CHICAGO, Dec. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Alpaytac Marketing Communications/Public Relations is proud to announce its founder and CEO, Huma Gruaz, has been named as one of PR News’ Top Women in PR for 2014.

PR News’ Top Women in PR Awards celebrates women who are making a difference in the Public Relations industry in 2014. Those honored are judged by a blue-chip panel of PR executives, as well as by PR News. Winners will receive their awards at a luncheon in summer 2015.

Gruaz was chosen for her leadership in guiding Alpaytac’s standout PR and social media campaigns for clients including Euro-Pro (Shark, Ninja) and Turkish Airlines, and for turning Alpaytac into one of industry’s top integrated digital PR agencies with offices in Chicago, NY, LA and Washington D.C. Fluent in four languages, Gruaz holds an executive MBA degree from the Kellogg School of Management, and is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Bryn Mawr College.

“I am honored to be selected for this award, but this is a real testament to the dedication and hard work of our talented Alpaytac team,” said Gruaz, founder and CEO of Alpaytac. “We share this recognition with the brilliant Euro-Pro team, our founding client, who believed in me many years ago, and have consistently provided us with five-star rated products to represent, and given us ongoing support with their exceptional PR and digital teams.”

Housewares leader Euro-Pro, now a 1.5 billion dollar company, produces the Shark and Ninja brands and has been Alpaytac’s client for 11 years. Both Shark and Ninja products have dominated the household appliances and solutions market while becoming one of the fastest growing housewares brands in the world.

“At Euro-Pro, we are dedicated to excellence and our standards are extremely high. Huma and her team have kept meeting these standards year after year, contributing to our growth with pioneering PR and social media campaigns. We are proud to see her getting this well-deserved recognition in the industry,” said Mark Rosenzweig, CEO of Euro-Pro.

Alpaytac’s award-winning PR and social media campaigns for Turkish Airlines have also been a conduit for this recognition. Alpaytac has secured more than one billion impressions in three years for the airline, contributing to their rapid growth and expansion in the U.S. market. Turkish Airlines, one of the world’s largest and fastest growing international airlines, was recently named “Europe’s Best Airline” for the fourth year in a row by Skytrax.

“We also want to thank Turkish Airlines, which continues to mesmerize the media and travelers with its unparalleled quality of service. We share this award with their PR and social media teams that have provided us with tremendous support these past three years to achieve the great results recognized by these accolades,” said Gruaz.

Alpaytac’s team of elite professionals applies its collective expertise and best practices in PR, integrated marketing, social media and digital marketing for a diverse set of clients from coast to coast in more than 16 industries, including housewares, consumer electronics, travel, retail, health and wellness, and B2B.

Started a decade ago from a small shared office and one client, Alpaytac Marketing Communications/Public Relations has steadily emerged as one of the most pioneering digital PR and social media agencies in the country.

Alpaytac was recently honored with four awards for its work with Euro-Pro’s Shark and Ninja brands, including honorable mentions for 2014 Best Social Media Campaign at the PR Daily Awards, 2014 Product Launch and 2014 Digital/Social Media categories at the PR News Agency Elite Awards, and Bulldog Reporter’s silver level award for Digitally/Socially Engaged Brand of the Year in 2013.

The agency also earned Honorable Mention in PR News’ 2014 Digital PR Awards: Facebook Communications category for its work with Turkish Airlines, the fifth consecutive recognition for the agency on behalf of its work for the carrier. Alpaytac grew the Turkish Airlines USA Facebook following by 338.15 percent.

Both Alpaytac and Huma Gruaz have been honored with more than 23 awards from leading industry publications such as the PR Daily 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award and the 2012 Bulldog Media Relations gold level award by Bulldog Reporter. In addition, PR News awarded Gruaz the 2010 Brand Marketer of the Year accolade and the 2011 PR Professional of the Year honorable mention, and recognized Alpaytac as an honoree for the “Small Agency of the Year” for three consecutive years.
